The Temperament and Narratives Lab at the University of Maryland is seeking your help in carrying out a study looking at the way that a child’s temperament and their caregiver’s parenting styles, beliefs, and values affect each other. Parenting is a two-way street where the parent responds to the child’s behavior and the child responds in turn. We are focusing on preschool through kindergarten, ages 3-7. If you have more than one child aged 3-7, please center your response on your older child.

The survey begins by asking for your informed consent to participate after reviewing a description of the study, including the procedures and measures. If you complete the survey, you will have the option to request parenting resources as well as the option to participate in Phase II, described later. We very much appreciate your participation. If you have any questions, you may email the Principal Investigator at the address provided in the Informed Consent, shown next.
