Thank you for your interest in the Academic Achievement Programs’ McNair Scholars Program at the University of Maryland. The McNair Scholars Program is a competitive program designed to prepare high academic achievers to matriculate into graduate programs & earn doctoral or terminal degrees.
Candidates for the McNair Scholars Program must have a minimum 2.85 GPA and will have earned a minimum of 60 credits by the start of the program (May).
Please complete and submit the application below. Note that a complete application requires:
- Online Application Personal Statement
- Recommendation Letter Writer’s Name, Title, Phone Number, Email Address
- Notarized Family and Verification Information Form (to be printed from here)
- Unofficial Transcript (Official transcript required upon admission to the Program). Submission options:
